As we age the neck is one of the regions of the body most susceptible to the loss of elasticity and the development of wrinkles. The sagging of this loose tissue can result in the appearance of a “turkey neck” which can take attention away from other facial features and give the preception of aging and weight gain, adding years to one’s appearance.

Dr. Andrew Mather, with extensive experience as a plastic surgeon, offers neck lift surgery aimed at recontouring and slimming the neck area, eliminating signs of aging, sagging skin, and jowls. The surgical neck lift is often performed in conjunction with a facelift and blepharoplasty to achieve a harmonious and refreshed appearance across the entire face.

THE BENEFITS OF A NECK LIPOSUCTION

ACCENTUATED JAW LINE

When the neck is lax due to hanging skin, muscle, and excess fat, it can affect a person’s overall facial harmony. A neck lift is designed to smooth the skin, lift the sagging neck muscle, and remove excess fat to create a more defined and smooth neck and jawline. As a result, it will improve the entire facial appearance while accentuating your facial features rather than drawing negative attention to the neck.

REJUVENATED APPEARANCE

Sagging skin and muscle as well as excess chin and neck fat can cause wrinkles and fine lines to develop. Once the skin and fat are removed, tightening of the neck skin will improve fine wrinkles along the chin and neck area, creating a softer, smoother, and younger look.

INCREASED CONFIDENCE

Many people feel as if they look unattractive when they have sagging skin and fat below the chin, also known as the dreaded “double chin.” Once the excess fat is removed and sagging skin and muscle are corrected, patients may no longer feel insecure about their facial appearance. With improved neck contours, patients often experience a boost in confidence and finally feel comfortable in their skin.
